Illinois is Last Amongst Neighboring States

I’m tired of being last.  I’m tired of watching bad policy lead to more poor decision making.  And I’m tired of our state losing and ranking last in the Midwest.  This state’s legacy of incompetence is of course driven by the Democrat party and their legislative ‘super power’ which means they will pass tax increases when times are good and then suspend them during election years or economic downturns.  So, if we needed more tax revenue 1-2 years ago, why don’t we need it now when inflation is making things more expensive?  Did we really need the tax increase in the first place?  Or does this mean the state will have to increase taxes even more when the economy recovers? The back and forth perpetuates this states’ legacy of fiscal incompetence while neighbor states like Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, and Wisconsin enact tax reforms making them more competitive to live and work.  Illinois needs more common-sense business minded leaders in Springfield and not more far left short term thinkers like my opponent.
