New Life Insurance Program for Working Families in Avon Township

With five kids under 10-years old and one with special needs, it is beautiful chaos in Keanna and Bennie's home.  But with great gifts comes great responsibilities and the Round Lake couple worries about what would happen if anything happens to either of them.

One of the key pillars in my "Plan for Lake County" is Inclusive Opportunities for everyone. I am not waiting for Election Day to start helping people like Keanna, Bennie, and everyone in our community.

Earlier this year, I worked with Avon Township supervisor Michele Bauman to bring a new public-private life insurance partnership program to the people of Avon Township. I am delighted to announce that Avon Township now offers a free life insurance program for lower-income families at no cost to taxpayers.

Keanna was the first recipient, and she now has the peace of mind that her children will continue their education if anything happens to her.

Happy to accept the first life insurance application in Avon Township from Keanna

I am so excited about this public-private partnership. It is well past time we move past broken partisan politics and begin to put people before politics again.

As your State Senator, I'll continue to lead inclusively for all families and businesses in our community. If you want more of this inclusive leadership for everyone from our state government, then I need your help! Thank you!
