Statement from Adam Solano on the Democrats' SAFE-T Act

Adam Solano, Candidate for State Senate in the 31st District has released a statement on public safety:

"You don’t have to defund the police to demoralize our first responders and their success rate in protecting the public. And you don’t have to be in a hurry to pass criminal justice legislation when you’re trying to get it right because everyone else is doing it. But when you have one party control in Illinois – the Democrat party and its legislative “superpowers” – it will put ideology ahead of good ideas every time. Ending Cash Bail was already failing in other parts of the country when it was adopted for Illinois. People can be redeemed, like those that break the law, but not bad ideas. And parts of this law simply need to be carved out." - Adam Solano, Candidate for State Senate in the 31st District
